Alerts

Alerts do not generally require user intervention. They clear on their own when the cause is resolved.

ALERT Code

Description

Potential Cause

Note

ALERT 01

Coil freeze

Evaporator coil is frozen. This could be caused by insufficient air flow or cold, dry air.

No action required. The dehumidifier will go into Defrost mode.

ALERT 02

Inlet air temp too high

Inlet air temperature is greater than 110F during a call for ventilation and the unit receives a call for dehumidification.

The dehumidifier will attempt to cool the unit. The fan will run for 25 minutes with only return air. If the dehumidifier isn't sufficiently cool after 25 minutes it will lock out for one hour before returning to Idle mode.

ALERT 03

Low temp mode

Inlet air temperature is less than 50F during a call for dehumidification.

Alert is active until measured temperature is above 55F.

ALERT 04

Inlet air temp too low

Inlet air temperature is less than -20F.

Alert is active until measured temperature is above -15F.

ALERT 05

Compressor overheating

This could be caused by insufficient air flow due to a clogged filter or duct obstruction, high inlet air temperatures, or a combination of the two.

The dehumidifier will attempt to cool the unit. The fan will run for 25 minutes with only return air. If the dehumidifier isn't sufficiently cool after 25 minutes it will lock out for one hour before returning to Idle mode.

ALERT 06

Outlet air temperature too high

This could be caused by insufficient air flow due to a clogged filter or duct obstruction, high inlet air temperatures, or a combination of the two.

The dehumidifier will attempt to cool the unit. The fan will run for 25 minutes with only return air. If the dehumidifier isn't sufficiently cool after 25 minutes it will lock out for one hour before returning to Idle mode.

ALERT 07

Ambient high temperature

The measured internal air temperature is greater than 110F while the unit is in an idle state or after three minutes of air sampling.

The dehumidifier will attempt to cool the unit. The fan will run for 25 minutes with only return air. If the dehumidifier isn't sufficiently cool after 25 minutes it will lock out for one hour before returning to Idle mode.

ALERT 14

Voltage out of spec

Measured line voltage is outside the range of 102 VAC - 132 VAC

This protects the unit against damage from a brownout.

ALERT 25

Onboard controller communication error

The onboard controller lost communication with the dehumidifier.

Check connection between the onboard controller and the dehumidifier.

ALERT 26

Ambient sensor communication failure

The ambient sensor in the onboard display controller failed.

Consider repalcing the onboard display controller.

ALERT 30

Air flow blocked

This could be caused by insufficient air flow due to a clogged filter or duct obstruction.

Check the filter and replace if necessary. Clear any blockages in the ductwork. Check for minimum airflows: DHM065: 75 CFM DHM090: 100 CFM DHM120: 125 CFM

ALERT 40

Water leak

The normally closed float switch has opened and there is an open circuit between the two FLOAT terminals or the water leak detection rope has detected water.

Clear any blockages in the drain line or clean up leaked water. To resume normal operation, clear the alert. This alert will clear automatically if the FLOAT terminals are closed and the water leak detection rope does not detect water for one hour.

ALERT 51

Continuous runtime

Compressor has been running continuously for more than 25 hours.

The compressor will shut off for 30 minutes or until the next call for dehumidification.

ALERT 70

Change filter

The selected filter change time period has expired

Change the filter and reset the alert.

ALERT 71

Frequent coil freeze

ALERT 01 was generated more than eight times in a 24-hour period.

Indicative of a recurring issue with the dehumidifier.

ALERT 72

Frequent air blockage

ALERT 30 was generated more than three times in a 24-hour period.

Indicative of a recurring issue with the dehumidifier.

ALERT 73

Frequent water leakage

ALERT 40 was generated more than two times in a 24-hour period.

Indicative of a recurring issue with the dehumidifier.

ALERT 74

Unit undersized

More than three ALERT 02 (Continuous runtime) alerts have been generated in an 80-hour time period. The dehumidifier has insufficient capacity for this installation

Install dehumidifier with a larger capacity. This will not shut down the dehumidifier.
